Color Drop by Good Bar

Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 22, 2026

Color Drop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Overview

Color Drop is a macOS menu bar application developed by Good Bar. It is designed to help you pick colors from your screen and copy them in HEX, RGB, or HSL format. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app with privacy as a core principle.

Data Collection

Color Drop does not collect any data. Specifically:

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

The following information is stored locally:

Network Access

Color Drop does not connect to the internet. The app uses the macOS system color sampler (NSColorSampler) to pick colors from your screen, which is a local system API. No network requests are made and no internet connection is required.

Third-Party Services

Color Drop does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond the standard macOS system frameworks provided by Apple.

App Sandbox

Color Drop runs within the macOS App Sandbox, which limits the app's access to system resources and other apps. The app only accesses what it needs to function: displaying a menu bar icon, showing a popover, picking screen colors, and storing preferences locally.

Children's Privacy

Color Drop does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since Color Drop does not collect data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
