Privacy Policy

Overview

Gratitude Slot is a macOS menu bar application developed by Good Bar. It is designed to help you build a daily gratitude habit by recording one thing you're grateful for each day. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app with privacy as a core principle.

Data Collection

Gratitude Slot does not collect any data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected
• No usage analytics or telemetry is collected
• No gratitude entries are shared with third parties
• No advertising identifiers are used
• No cookies or tracking technologies are used

Data Storage

All app data — including your gratitude entries and settings — is stored locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

The following information is stored locally:

• Your gratitude entries (text and date)
• Your launch-at-login preference

Clipboard Access

When you use the Copy to Clipboard feature, Gratitude Slot writes your entries to your system clipboard. This is a user-initiated action and the clipboard contents are managed entirely by macOS. Gratitude Slot does not read from the clipboard.

Network Access

Gratitude Slot does not connect to the internet. The app does not make any network requests and does not require an internet connection to function.

Third-Party Services

Gratitude Slot does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond the standard macOS system frameworks provided by Apple.

App Sandbox

Gratitude Slot runs within the macOS App Sandbox, which limits the app's access to system resources and other apps. The app only accesses what it needs to function: displaying a menu bar icon, showing a popover, storing preferences locally, and writing to the clipboard on user action.

Children's Privacy

Gratitude Slot does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since Gratitude Slot does not collect data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
